Fleming's free-kick saves a point for the Tigers
Saltdean United 3-3 Newhaven
Matt Fleming's free kick in the dying embers of game ensures Freeman's Saltdean earned a share of the spoils in an eventful evening at Hill Park on Tuesday night.
Newhaven found themselves 2-0 up after just 15 minutes through goals from Ryan Knight and Lee Robinson. Saltdean however, found their groove in the later in the half and a tricky ball in from the left hand side was inadvertently guided into the top corner by a luckless Newhaven defender. With Saltdean on top and searching for an equaliser, a smart move resulted in Harry Shooman firing home from the edge of the box.
TalkSPORT's Tony Incenzo was present at Hill Park on Tuesday night and he certainly got his money's worth as Newhaven looked to have claimed all three points when Kyle Wooven beat Rikki Banks in the 65th minute. The Tigers however have no quit about them and they pressed and pressed some more and finally their pressure was rewarded, Matt Fleming's speculative free kick evaded everyone and nestled in the far corner to spark jubilant scenes.
Saltdean remain at the top of the pile and this weekend they travel to Seaford Town in the FA Vase.
