The Club is seeking a volunteer to take the role of Club Welfare Officer and to help maintain, evolve, promote and ensure the application across all teams of our well established Child Safeguarding & Welfare policies, ethics and Codes Of Conduct.
The role would suit anyone who has a background in safeguarding and welfare or who works with children and has a good understanding of these issues.
However, the principles are straightforward, full training will be provided and any caring person with administrative skills could take the role and so experience is not necessary.
There would be a fluctuating commitment in terms of hours based upon different needs at different stages of the season, but generally a probable maximum of two hours per week.
There will be a requirement to complete two FA workshops – A Safeguarding Children Workshop and the Welfare Officers’ Workshop, in that sequence and to obtain an FA DBS check (arranged through the Football Club)
The Club will provide the finance required to complete the two courses and the current Club Welfare Officer will remain as assistant Welfare Officer to support and mentor the new post holder.
To submit an application or to discuss the role further please contact Steve Phythian on
