Saltdean United are delighted to announce an U12’s girls open training session that will take place at Hill Park on Sunday 24th April, from 1-2pm. The session will be run by our current women’s first team and gives the girls an opportunity to meet the players but also show an interest in being a part of our newly formed U12’s next season.
As Brighton & Hove prepares to be a host city for the UEFA Women’s Euro’s, Saltdean Utd has recently been selected to take part in the FA Club Programme as part of the UEFA Women’s Legacy. A programme designed to create opportunities for more women and girls to engage in football.
As part of our own Saltdean Legacy project, our aim is to increase the number of women and girls participating in football at the club. We currently have two successful senior women’s teams with the long term plan to have a girls team at every age group.
Saltdean Utd Women’s 1st team manager Joe McTiffen said:
“As a club we are delighted to offer a newly formed girls team which just shows the intentions of Saltdean United FC moving forward. It is important for us to see girls progressing through the age groups with their intentions of reaching the first team squad in years to come!”
The open training session is available to current year 5 and 6 girls who will be available to play for a newly formed Saltdean U12 girls football team next season. If you are interested in bringing your daughter to the training session, we kindly ask you to fill out the form below. This gives us an insight on the numbers expected on the day.
