Saltdean United is urgently seeking a new volunteer to take the role of Club Welfare Officer.
The role would suit anyone who has a background in safeguarding and welfare or who works with children and has a good understanding of the issues.
However, the principles are straightforward and full training will be provided.
There would be a fluctuating commitment in terms of hours based upon different needs at different stages of the season, but generally a probable maximum of two hours per week.
There will be a requirement to complete two FA workshops – A Safeguarding Children Workshop (online) and the Welfare Officers’ Workshop (attendance), in that sequence and to obtain an FA DBS check (arranged through the Football Club).
The Club will provide the finance required to complete the two courses and the current Club Welfare Officer will support and mentor the new post holder.
