There has been a lot of work at Hill Park over the summer in preparation for the new season. The concrete base for the new west stand was laid, with landscaping works to the bank to allow for new steps and handrails. Retaining walls were built and a temporary roof and seating have been installed.

We can’t believe how different the west stand looks now, with a lot more viewing space.

The grass pitch has been repositioned slightly to allow for site boundary works to progress. The away team dugout was repositioned and new pitch boundary fencing installed on the west side. With the goal housing moved, annual pitch maintenance carried out, and the pitch re-marked. We will play one more season on the grass before the 3G pitch is installed in 2025.

Meanwhile, the new clubhouse continues to make progress behind the hoarding, with lots of work behind the scenes from the contractors, engineers, and architects. We are hoping to see the building start to emerge in the coming weeks as the underground works are being completed.

Our thanks go out to everyone who got us up and running ready for the Men’s FA Cup game on Saturday. A huge effort from the contractors, project manager, groundsman, committee members, and volunteers who worked hard to make sure we were ready for match day. A victory in the cup made all the efforts worthwhile as we progress to the next round!
Works will continue throughout the season, working around the fixtures to make sure we are always match ready. We look forward to welcoming fans back to Hill Park for the first Men’s & Women’s home league games of the 2024/25 season and hope they enjoy seeing the progress at the grounds as much as we are.
