Saltdean United Women FC Statement
It is with mixed emotions that Saltdean United Women FC announces that 1st Team Manager, Zak Dove, has stepped down from his role with immediate affect.
Zak joined the club in 2022 and, in a relatively short period, made an immense impact. Under his guidance, the team achieved historic milestones in 2024, with remarkable runs in both the Women’s FA Cup and the Sussex County Challenge Cup where they currently hold the title. Additionally, Zak led us to our highest-ever points tally at tier 5, with an impressive 43 points last season.
Zak will be a big miss, both as a manager and as a key figure with the players. His passion, dedication, and vision have been central to our progress, and we are incredibly grateful for everything he has done. We are still in a fantastic position in the league, only losing one league game all season with plenty to play for.
We wish Zak all the best in his future roles and hope to see him down at Hill Park very soon watching from our new clubhouse.
Dave Satchell has also decided to step away from his role as assistant and we thank him for his time at the club.
