Now the football season has finished its full steam ahead with the Legacy Project, with lots of activity on the site. The day after our last home game preparations began for the installation of the new 3G pitch.

The old East Stand has been dismantled and the whole of the main pitch area fenced off so that works can take place. Work has begun with our groundwork contractors Obsidian to dig out the pitch, for the drainage, and the removal of the turf and topsoil. The temporary West Stand will be replaced by a brand new covered stand and we will also see the landscaping and new boundary fencing installed in the coming months.

If you are using the recreation ground over the next few months please take care and ensure that no dogs (or humans!) enter the boundary fence around the construction site.
Meanwhile, the clubhouse build continues, and a slight delay with the steel work has allowed us to make good progress with the ground floor. The steels are due to arrive any day now so we will start to see the first floor taking shape. There is a lot of work going on behind the scenes as we start to kit out the changing rooms, plan the kitchens, sanitation, and work on the finer details of the build.
