Saltdean United Football Club are delighted to announce the club have been awarded a £100,000 grant from the Premier League Stadium Fund.
The grant will help fund a brand new 200 seat covered spectator stand, that is being designed and produced by Stadia Construction Ltd, and will replace the old stand on the west bank. In addition to the new stand, the grant will also allow us to fully fence in the stadium with an anti-climb perimeter fence.
The works are part of our Saltdean United Legacy Project to improve our facilities for our youth and adult teams, spectators, and the local community. A new 3G pitch is currently being installed as part of those plans, and work also continues on our new club house. The Legacy project also includes plans for new turnstiles, changing rooms, a medical room, admin offices, new kitchens, and a wide range of other upgrades around the stadium.
The new facilities will enable the club to thrive, providing an excellent setting for all Saltdean United youth teams from Under 7’s to Under 18’s, and our senior Men’s and Women’s teams, whilst improving the match-day experience for supporters. The project also allows the club to expand its work with the local community through their ‘Tiger Cubs’ sessions for Under 6’s, Walking football, Youth Drop-In sessions, School hires, and the introduction of new ‘Vets’ teams in the near future.
