Saltdean United hosts weekly Walking Football session on Thursday afternoons at the club. The sessions are aimed at Women over 50 and Men over 60, providing a great opportunity for the local community to meet and get some weekly exercise in a fun and friendly environment.

The sessions run from 2pm – 3pm with refreshments in the clubhouse afterwards. Your first session is completely free, so why not come along and try it out. Whether you are a complete beginner or have played football all your life, we welcome all abilities.

Each session will be led by one of our experienced volunteer coaches and will involve a warm up, some light drills and a game of football. We will be following the FA Walking Football rules, so please read them prior to joining:

The football will be played on a grass pitch so please wear appropriate footwear. Football boots with moulded studs are ideal, but there’s no need to rush out and spend money on new boots as any standard trainers will do.

Free parking is available on site, please leave clear access in the lane for farm vehicles to get through at all times and if you park on the street please be mindful of not blocking residents driveways, bus stops or the double decker bus route on Coombe Vale. The number 27 bus from Brighton stops just outside the grounds on Saltdean Vale.

We are a friendly and inclusive club, run entirely by volunteers since 1966! A forward thinking club with ambitions to improve our grounds and facilities through our ongoing Legacy project. We always welcome new members to the club and look forward to seeing you at Hill Park.

There’s no need to sign up for the Walking Football, just come along on the day. If you have any questions you can contact:
